Hello, Dear Ones! Have you wondered over the last couple years why things seem out of control and crazy in the world? Have you felt increased hardship in your personal life, along with the global crises? Do you ever ask, “Why God?” or “What is going on, God?” If you have, you are not alone. I wrote a post about this on my new blog. Here’s the link. God bless and remember the High King lives! -Amber Dover
My New Blog & Goodbye to amberdover.com January 11, 2020
Hello, dear ones! I just wanted to leave a quick post on this old blog to redirect you to my current blog: https://thespotlessbrideblog.wordpress.com/
Soon amberdover.com will shut down and over four years of content will be unavailable until I open up new blogs I’m working on. I’m putting together themed blogs on Wix:
Chronically Amber Chronicles- A Physical & Mental Health Journey
https://all8514.wixsite.com/chronicallyamberdovr
Amber Makes a Home- domestic life
https://all8514.wixsite.com/ambermakesahome
Amber’s Magical World- Holidays, parties, date nights, and Summer fun
Amber Dover Teaches- a homeschool blog
Amber Dover’s Adventures- Virtual and Real World travels
When they are up I will add the links to this post. As of now (January 2020) these are future projects and not my main focus. I took down amberdover.com for financial and personal reasons. I feel I need to focus on writing books. I’m not sure which blogs will be up first or when. I’ll keep you posted on my new central blog: https://thespotlessbrideblog.wordpress.com/
I hope to blog regularly on there about spiritual matters and general matters of the heart.
Thank you to all of you who have faithfully prayed for my family and have come along for this blogging adventure. It’s been over nine years.
God bless & remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
My New Website: amberdover.com March 4, 2016
Hello dear ones! I’m so excited to finally be presenting my new site: amberdover.com
If you are an email subscriber you will need to resubscribe at the above address. I am in the process of trying to transfer my followers to my new blog, but you are welcome to subscribe again if you don’t want to wait. If I’m unsuccessful with the transfer then I will allow a couple of weeks for everyone to resubscribe if they’d like. Then I will be setting this blog to auto direct to my new blog.
Thank you dear ones for all your support as I began blogging. You make me smile, and I praise God for you! I hope you will join me on my new adventure into professional blogging. Amberdover.com is still being polished, but it feels good to own my site and to be in control of any advertising on it. These past few months I’ve really had to step out my comfort zone and learn blog lingo. I still have a long ways to go. It’s going to be fun!
I have many new ideas. One of them is the Joyful Wife Project, which includes Titus 2 Word Studies. I pray amberdover.com will be a source of encouragement and inspiration for you. My new site has easier navigation and it will showcase popular posts in my menu pages. Thanks again for subscribing.

Mud pies in the slum: My story August 11, 2015
This is a great post by Ali. May we embrace the adventure God has for us, and not settle for the comfortable known of the slum. God bless & remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
When I was younger and kind of “finding myself” in terms of relationships and career, my biggest idol was peer acceptance.
I thought that if I ticked all the right boxes in terms of saying all the ‘right’ things, making people laugh, and generally being seen as clever and successful, I would receive the acceptance I craved.
I would never have considered myself “dead in my sin” but I think part of me was dead to the “colour” and life-giving power that could be found in a deep and rich and engaging relationship with God…
I like the CS Lewis quote from his book the Weight of Glory:
“We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the…

Inspirational Wednesday: What Does God Look Like? July 24, 2015
I was looking through old posts and found this one. The videos are really good. Enjoy! God bless and remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
Note: don’t miss the awesome Youtube vids at the end 🙂
Hello dear ones 🙂 I hope you’re having a very inspirational day. You know back in the day a silly song came out where Eminem sang “Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?” Now a days it’s like will the real God or the real Jesus please stand up. There are alot of religions out there saying they have the truth and alot of people have claimed to follow Jesus. But if their “Jesus” doesn’t fit the Historically accurate and Biblical Jesus…then he’s just another false Christ….an impersonator…a fraud.
Jesus Christ is real and He is God. God became flesh and lived among us. He walked on water, He healed the blind, and He died & resurrected to save the world. We don’t know exactly what He looks like. We have a few ideas of how He…

Father’s Day Crafts & Our Trip to Jesup 2015 July 17, 2015
Hello dear ones! This past Father’s Day we visited our hometown and everyone got to meet the new baby. Leeland and Michael also made homemade crafts for Chris. It was a special Father’s Day. Here’s what we did:
I printed out a Father’s Day poem from here:
Then I put the boys’ foot prints on it. I also printed out a Darth Vader poster.
I helped the boys make Father’s Day books.
I stapled Daddy surveys to the back of the books. Here’s the link:
So we visited our hometown and saw our families. We saw Chris’ dad…
and we visited where my Dad is buried.
We visited my Granny.
My family didn’t want to let Leeland go.
Granny
My other grandparents
I loved playing with this Chess set as a kid.
Chris’ mom playing with Leeland
Chris’ older brother and Michael trying out his 3D plastic making pen.

Independence Day Crafts & Fun 2014 July 1, 2015
Here’s last year’s post. Have a happy Independence Day! God bless and remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
Hello dear ones! I hope you are well. I want to show you the crafts we did this year for the 4th of July.
In 2012 we made fireworks in a jar, Independence candles using salt and food coloring, and we decorated a t-shirt. I also painted Michael’s face before we saw fireworks. There’s also a short lapbook. Link here:

This year…
- I made a Summer wreathe out of red, white, and blue flip flops and a bow. I got it all at the Dollar Tree.
- The wreathe goes perfect with the patriotic flip flop welcome mat, I made a couple of years ago.
- Michael made a flag out of popsicle sticks.
- Michael did another Independence Day lapbook.
- Flip flops are a theme in my house, this Summer. I’ve also been making Summery…

My Family Rocks! Sunday: “Poetry Man” (poem for Father’s Day) June 19, 2015
A post from a couple of years ago. God bless & remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
Hello friends! Happy Father’s Day! I want to share with you the memorial message and poem I read at my Dad’s funeral in 2009. I guess you can call this a tribute to my Dad. I believe it’s fitting for this day :). Please do not copy. Thank you.

Amber’s Speech at Jim Way’s funeral
Oct 3rd, 2009
Before I read my poem I’d like to say a few words about this great man Jim, my Daddy. Daddy could do almost anything. He was a jack of all trades so to speak. He was a chef, a Mr. Fix-it, a musician, a singer, and he used to dance like most white men couldn’t. I’m sure he’s putting on a show in Heaven with his dance moves.
This wonderful eccentric man once woke me and my cousins up at midnight hooping…
